Real treasure for Eterna watch collectors, discovered in a watchmaker's old stock. This 1940s Eterna Matic ladies model is in a very early Staybrite Steel case with curved lugs. An early military look with luminescent painted dial and hands, featuring a red-tipped sweeps seconds hand. Could have been designed for military use or a nurse's watch for taking pulses.

Features a Eterna-matic full-rotor automatic movement. The watch runs and keeps time, but the oils are very dry so it should be serviced before you use it. Timekeeping is not guaranteed. There is a light shade difference in the color between the hour and minutes hands, could be natural aging or one might be re-lumed. The lugs look perfect from the top, but have some small marks on the edges.

Measures 25mm across, not counting the crown, and 32.2mm from the top lug tip to the bottom lug tip. Acrylic crystal. Original unsigned crown. Comes with a Genuine Lizard dark brown strap. You can save 50% off other 11mm straps bought from us at the same time.

Keep in mind we shoot our photos at 2.5X magnified, so macro photos exaggerate tiny features that won't stand out as much in person. What you mostly see in macro pictures are reflections, not flaws.

Early Staybrite Steel watches from the 1930s/40s are getting very scarce. This one is just so crisp. Nice legible dial. Very stylish design to the deep, teardrop curved lugs.
