I have been servicing Kenwood units for a while. With years I've developed deep respect toward Kenwood gear (especial tube gear). It is a pity to see how many units are
wasted/mutilated  just because these parts are not available and hard to come by!
After many years of back and forth I decided to re-manufacture many of Kenwood volume controls that were used back in the days. My main goal was to produce a high
quality part that is better in comparison to the original volume pot.
I am glad to announce that I succeeded. I am very happy with the result and am sure you will be too!
This is modern production potentiometer.
An exact copy of the original pot, but much better in terms of reliability and quality.
Please note the original potentiometer is rated at 1M each deck, this one is 800K. Works well.

Specs:

Resistance:                        800K/800K each
Tap type:                            Audio
Loudness tap:                    400K
Compatible with models:  KW-55
Knob fit:                             Some Kenwood models came with knurled knob. This half moon shaft tip fits the knurled knob well.

Here are couple of points why one would be better off buying modern production pot for his/her Kenwood receiver:

     b. Unmatched potentiometer.
By now the majority of 60-year-old volume controls have deteriorated carbon resistance paths. Those must be matched and balanced because they play a huge role in
             even sound distribution.
If a volume pot is unbalanced one speaker will sound louder than the other!

Even if one fixes an old pot or buys NOS, the result will be short lived due to huge flows in the design itself.

All these issues have been addressed by this volume control. These are high quality factory made potentiometers. I use these controls when restoring customers' Kewnwood units.
Only positive results and well balanced sound.
I see many posts on various forums where people are looking/asking for a good replacement.
I have a limited quantity. Will keep few for myself and help others with this hard to find pot.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you and let's make your Kenwood sing again!!!

I also have many other controls available.
