PIAA is an aftermarket automotive products brand headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
Its parent company is Ichikoh Industries, Ltd. which manufactures automotive lighting fixtures and supplies lighting fixtures to Japanese automakers such as Toyota, Nissan, Honda, and Suzuki on an OEM basis. Ichikoh Kogyo was founded in 1903 and has a history of over 100 years.
PIAA also continues to evolve through its involvement in motorsports. In the past, PIAA has sponsored Formula One, and currently supplies lamps for international races such as the World Rally Championship (WRC) and the Dakar Rally for four-wheeled vehicles, and the FIM Endurance World Championship for two-wheeled vehicles. Based on the "light distribution" and "double-sided substrate technology" developed for the wide-beam type, LEH192 was designed to eliminate troublesome controllers. The LEH192 is controller-less while maintaining the light distribution quality achieved by the ultra-thin double-sided substrate technology.
The result is a compact body that is almost the same shape as a genuine halogen bulb. Installation and replacement can be done just like a normal bulb replacement.
