Fantastic vintage Mid Century Orientalism design and color come to life in this chartreuse green and black covered dish or bowl. This 50s 60s era California pottery ceramic covered dish is marked L + F Ceramics Made in California.

Overall Dimensions: 8.5" Long x 5.5" Wide x 5.5" Tall

The bright lime green ceramic covered dish is decorated on both sides with 3D floral details in a pinkish lilac color representing lilacs or cherry blossoms perhaps.

Clean and shiny with 1 small flake chip seen on base of lid handle and shown in close up photo and 1 small chip on underneath rim of lid and shown in close up detail photo.

At the time this design was produced with it was also available in a contrasting Black and Chartreuse color combination making these the perfect his and her accent decorations for a fireplace, bookcases, bedroom, living room, dressing room or boudoir. 

The retro color Chartreuse had several moments in design history. As early as the mid 1930s and again in the mid-century it was a favorite of modern trendsetters, including furniture designer Eero Saarinen, who created the womb chair, and made it available in “pear color" , now called tea green.
