Selling this lovely old hardcover book written by Augusta J. Evans for her father in 1855 when she was only 15 years old. It was her first of several. First published in 1856. This copy was published by Hurst but does not contain a publishing date. It was considered more of a luxury edition with the pretty yellow bouquet of flowers and filter gilt on the cover. The outside edges are gilded with gold. This was done to protect the interior pages which are in very good condition.
Book is approximately 6” x 4”
It has some obvious defects to the hardcover including some corners where it must have gotten moist. Wear to the corners too. The binding is good except one section toward the back. Please see all the pictures I have included and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
