"It was a Cherokee tradition for each family to make and hang a mask in the house for power and protection, to keep in good luck and keep out the bad," says Cherokee artist, Jesse Hummingbird, whose paintings of brightly colored geometric faces have become his signature. "The two couples represent different seasons of life - spring and fall - and are my way of inspiring people to find soulmates with whom they can discover both the strength and beauty of love.
This pony is officially retired and is no
longer being produced. It will become more difficult to find as time goes on,
so don’t miss out on this one!
He is beautiful! He has never been displayed and is
in MINT condition.
I have looked this pony over carefully and can detect no
obvious cracks or chips in it prior to shipping. Please note that
some ponies (particular older ones) may have minor imperfections or show signs
of touch-up, such as underpaints or overpaints (as most ceramic and some resin
pieces do) that occurred during manufacturing, as each one is hand painted. Most
painted pony boxes have shelf wear or the tag may be creased or slightly bent;
this does not affect the pony in any way. .
.Shipping & Handling: USPS Priority Insured Mail. I ship within two business days after receiving payment; I also email the tracking number if mailed in the US. Items are double-boxed, securely packed, and insured. In the unlikely event a pony is damaged during shipment, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to file the claim with the U.S. post office. I will work with you in filing an insurance claim with USPS.
The
Trail of Painted Ponies has announced that Westland Giftware will no longer
be reproducing Painted Ponies. Beginning in January 2010, Enesco will become the
exclusive manufacturer and distributor of The Trail of Painted
Ponies figurines and other merchandise. The
Westland molds will be broken and all of these original Westland Ponies should
become even more highly sought after, rare, and valuable.
Happy Trails and Happy Bidding!!
