Nova Scotia 1860 1c. black Line-perf 12 on medium, hard, white paper, showing a horizontal plate crack through the middle of the desing and a unsuccessfull double perforation, the holes looking like embossed. Weaker perf lines and marks of the gauge machine are also visible on the reverse under a strong light.
The white stroke and the white areas are not thins but parts of another, removed hinge and there are folded perfs, glue adherences, remainder parts of hinges, and a disturbed gum.
