The Jenny Lee is about 50% fact, 50% fiction, but definitely 100% funny. The Jenny Lee is loosely based on the harbor tugs that operated in the southern United States from the early 1900s to the 1940s. Designed to provide an introductory experience of plank-on-frame construction, this model features balsa-plank construction on laser-cut poplar plywood frames with expanded pvc pilot house construction. Some of the detail items include die cast metal fittings, wood turnings, vacuum molds, colored decals, and laser cut detail parts. The kit documentation includes a full-size plan, a 47-page instruction manual, and a pack containing 79 figure detail drawings so even novice modelers will feel right at home.
