HORSENS Vintage BT Telephone Digitel 2000 Kirk Denmark BRITISH TELECOM 1980

  • A 1980’s Digitel 2000 telephone
  • Originally for British Telecom
  • Four different ring tones
  • Rotating volume control
  • Designed by Kristian Kirks in Denmark
  • This phone has been tested and is in basic working order
  • We have tried to use the hands free and although you can hear the person phoning you when you depress and lock key “S” the microphone on the phone does not seem to be working so you have to use the hand set to speak into in order to be heard by the caller
  • Some surface wear with age and use. I have cleaned the telephone
  • If you hold the hand set near to the main body of the phone feedback occurs. I do not have the manual so it is tricky to try to work out if it is a broken microphone or if I am not using the keys correctly. The red light flickers on the front which is supposed to indicate that the microphone is working
  • The screw holding the two sections of the hand set has been replaced
  • The phone line cord measures 3 metres in length
  • The phone in total measures18 cm in width, 22 cm length, 9 cm max height
  • 1140 g in weight not including the phone line chord
  • All measurements are approximate
  • The last photograph shows the inside of the handset
  • Working. In good clean condition. One screw in the hand set has been replaced. See photographs
