Yamaha YDP131 upright piano - Gloss black

Wow....another ultra rare find. This really is a piano for life. Find another!!!!!!!

The Yamaha YDP131 was based around the standard U3 but has the case of a Yamaha U5/7 incorporating grand features with solid spruce soundboard and back posts.

She is an Upright / Grand hybrid piano. The harp, strings and action are traditional upright piano but she has grand piano key length and the front section of the piano is in the style of a grand piano with music stand at the perfect height as a grand piano would have. Behind the music stand there are vents built into the cabinet which allow the sound to come through. Come and have a play and feel and hear for yourself what these fantastic upright pianos can achieve.

She is 40 years newer than most Yamaha U3 models of equivalent price and the action is still tight and responsive allowing you to play the most difficult pieces with ease (well, if you have practiced enough 🙃).

She has a middle practice pedal for midnight piano practice 😃.

Unlike many sellers we are honest and open in our descriptions so as well as listing all the great things about the piano we also like to point out any stand out marks or details so you know exactly what to expect when your piano arrives. Please bear in mind that most gloss finish pianos will have very fine micro scratches in the polyester / polish from dusting and this is pretty much unavoidable. We have NEVER seen a piano without micro scratches.

This piano is in very very good condition. We have carried out a smart repair to the front of the left leg bottom and a very small chip on the leg itself. There is a tiny 3mm blemish on the left key block and right rosewood detail. They won't photograph easily and you need correct light to be able to see them. We have spent over 25 hours buffing and restoring this piano to amazing condition and you certainly won't expect it to look as good as she does. We honestly feel you will not find one in better condition.

You are more than welcome to come and view and play the piano at our showroom.

A brand new adjustable piano stool is included

WHY BUY FROM ROWLANDSON PIANOS

Here at Rowlandson pianos we pride ourselves on supplying good quality modern pianos and want the customer to be truly satisfied.  In an ever changing world we have adapted by making more information on the pianos accessible online, so you can see lots of photos and a video of the piano being played.  We actively seek to give an unbiased description of each piano we have for sale including any negative points.  Too many times have we turned up to view an 'immaculate' piano to find that it has cup stains and broken hinges etc where people's general response is "what do you expect for 20 years old".  We hate this, and I'm sure you do too so you can be sure if we say a piano is as new, it is.  If we say it has some marks around, it does.  And if we say it is not suitable for a grade 8 pianist, chances are it isn't.

  • One of our pet hates is people or companies selling 'refurbished' pianos.  Granted some of these may well be 'part' refurbished to a good standard, but with over 9000 parts in an upright piano, how many have really been 'refurbished' and not just had the odd felt or sticking key sorted.  You wouldn't put a new tyre on a car and then sell the car as 'refurbished' would you?  Therefore, you will not see any 'refurbished' pianos for sale at Rowlandson pianos, just good quality serviced pianos.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

  • If you are unhappy with, or change your mind about your purchase within the first 30 days you are welcome to return it, at your cost, for a full refund as long as it arrives back at Rowlandson pianos in the same condition as it left.  Pianos are a big piece of furniture and are neither cheap or easy to move around and we suggest that we can, at your cost, collect the item or you are welcome to make your own arrangements to return it but we do advice a specialist transport company and can usually recommend someone local to yourselves.

DELIVERY INFO

  • Delivery is charged at £1 per mile using google maps from our base at WF10 3QZ.  We do this so you can quickly and easily work out the delivery charges.  We transport our own pianos but we do work with other respectable piano moving companies who cover other areas and if they can deliver the piano to you cheaper than ourselves we will happily use their services and pass on the savings to yourselves.  Collection is also welcome and we are happy to help with loading if needed but we do advise the use of a specialist piano moving company
