Theatre Arts Monthly was a monthly American publication that ran from 1916 to 1964. Broad in scope and handsomely designed, the publication contained in-depth coverage of every aspect of the theatre-world, and these vintage magazines offer today’s readers a permanent record of American dramatic art in its formative period, introducing dramatic trends and events, and to the emergence of new and important dramatists, directors, playwrights and stage designers of the time. There are also articles on the emerging movie scene and drama in Europe, South America and Russia. Not to mention the wonderful advertisements!

In this issue:
  • The World and the Theatre - John Galsworthy

Condition: The covers are rather fragile and show damage to the edges and spine, the staples have rusted making the pages loose. However, given that this magazine is around 85 years old, its condition isn’t too bad and all pages are fully legible!

I accept returns and any questions - just ask!
