Characterized by a more robust masculine appeal depicting geometric ornaments, spindles, low relief carvings, and incised lines were designed to be affordable and easy to clean nevertheless, many of the designs which resulted are artistically complex.

Although Charles Eastlake did not make furniture, his movement influenced the interior design of American homes with English designs that were easy to clean, functional, and simple. The ‘Eastlake’ style is of Victorian architecture and one of the core principles of this style was that Eastlake thought that the furniture in people's homes should be good looking and be made by manufacturers who enjoyed their work. Eastlake American as part of the last decade of the Victorian era , Simple yet quite elaborated piece Greek Inspired , depicting sold castings of muses, eagle talons holding spheres, lion masks  shaping the legs, topping the loop handles and accents within the same theme, cylindrical body with a hand chased branched oak leafs, showing generous plating with a bright mirrored finish the whole piece enhanced with a soft rich patina purposely left for the lovers of this look, solid manufacture , no dents monogram breaks or repairs , very clean inside no leaks or repairs, some nicks to the top of the lid, light scratching no wear specks, original burner with some nicks on top this is clean and open swiftly, perfectly working faucet with both Bakelite knobs., Stamped on the bottom 2557 MFD &plated by Reed & Barton, on one leg Patent Applied for , and Patented January 26 1869 17 1/2" by 10 7/8" and 5.7 lbs weight before packing.
