Girl's sized shoulder cape of bright 100% wool Royal Stewart tartan bright red with stripes of black, yellow, white and blue. It is lined with cozy 100% cotton red flannel. The cape closes below the neckline with a gold "silk-look" knotted frog. It comes with a matching Glengarry cap with a red broadcloth lining. It is decorated with royal blue picot edged velvet ribbon. A swallow tail velvet ribbon is held in place with an antique red glass button decorated with gold.
The front opening is 12 1/2" long. The back from neck edge to bottom is 14 ". The circumference of the cape is 81". The neck opening is 12 1/2". It offers very nice coverage and warmth for the shoulders without the inconvenience of grasping and a shawl to keep it closed. The cap 20" and 3 1/2" at the tallest point.
When my kids were little (many, many moons ago) I found that red clothing makes it a lot easier to spot a child across a reenactment field!
