This is an old original U.S. Army silver oxide type Government Issue GI Marksman Weapons qualification badge with the sterling silver Carbine hanger. It is badge that denotes a degree of skill and proficiency with the indicated weapon. The Carbine hanger is Sterling Silver and hallmarked with a "Circle S". The Marksman badge is marked FRW - GI and is the older style which many prefer.
