DESCRIPTION & CONDITION:

A handsome and informative broadside pricing sheet for a Paris hair and wig dealer for the Season starting June 1, 1877. We had a beautifully illustrated billhead from this firm a few years ago, and the Joseph Downs Collection of Manuscripts and Printed Ephemera at Winterthur holds an illustrated advertisement from the firm dated 1869 which notes that they supplied "hair for men and women, long, frizzed, straight or crimped of first and second quality, priced by weight, partings for ladies called 'cachefolies' (early 19th century name for a lady's wig)". They also sold hairdresser's supplies, including a line of razors.

Single sheet. 17”x11”. Folds, edge chips, and short rips, corner chip; printed on thin paper and very fragile.

SHIPPING NOTES: All ephemera & photos are shipped First Class in a board-reinforced card mailer with a large red DO NOT BEND sticker. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OVERSEAS BUYERS, PLEASE NOTE:

SHIPPING: To comply with Ebay’s policies, all packages are shipped using recorded/trackable methods and you should check the postage quotes before completing a purchase. Our International shipping charges are based on the weight, when packed, of each package -we offer “combined shipping charges” for orders for more than one item –this often means the shipping cost for the items is less than it would have been if they had been purchased and shipped one at a time, so please ask us for a shipping quote if you are thinking about buying more than one item. Thanks!

CUSTOMS CHARGES: Your post office may impose a customs charge on your incoming package, we have no control over this and no information about it, please check with your post office for more information. It is against U.S. law and Ebay rules for us to lie on the customs form about the value of packages, please do not ask us to do this.
