Arabic Manuscript Deeds. 145
Arabic Manuscript Deeds. All are handwritten on mainly hand-made European large
paper. The largest is 57 x 80 cm and the smallest is 23 x 34 cm. The oldest
deed is dated 1238 AH/1822 AD and newest is dated 1320 AH/1903.
The deeds are all nicely written in naskhī/ruq`ah scripty by professional calligraphers. They all bear numerous seals, stamps, and embossed marks.
The deeds mainly deal with real estate. Such documents are extremely important to scholars and historians dealing with the history of the Middle East, but they are also useful in other fields. It is unlikely to find so many deeds in one location aside from the governmental archives.
I am selling these deeds at
a fraction of what they are worth.
