Madeleine Gaeckler attends the free course ofEmile Schneiderr from 1935 to 1939, then from 1942 to 1945 the School of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg.
After the war, she was a draftsman at the Military Subdivision of Strasbourg.
Returns to evening classes at the École des Arts Décoratifs from 1947 to 1963, taking advantage ofAntoine Heitzman .
She expresses herself in oil, acrylic, watercolor and grease pencil. It is his landscapes, portraits, flowers and nudes that have his preference.
His painting, initially figurative, evolved towards abstraction; her watercolors are stylized and stripped down, the artist suggests more than she says.
