Up for sale is a copy of the 2nd print blank variant cover of Avengers #1 with an original Captain America sketch by the legendary Gene Colan and graded 9.6 (NM+) under CGC's Signature Series label. The CGC case is in great shape with no cracks.

I have set a fixed price of $2,499.99 for this listing, which I think is a fair price given the rarity of Gene Colan sketches, but feel free to make me your "best offer."  You never know, I might just take it, or at least make you a counteroffer.

For those of you unfamiliar with Signature Series, the Signature Series label takes the place of a certificate of authenticity, and with it you know that a CGC witness saw the comic being autographed by the person indicated, and immediately afterwards took the comic into his possession so that there is no doubt the autograph is authentic. In the case of multiple autographs signed at different times, a CGC witness will only release the signed comic at the time it is to be autographed by another person, and then takes it right back.

Note that the picture is of the actual comic for sale and not just some "stock" photo.
