1850s Hand Tinted Ambrotype 22K+ Yellow Gold Pendant.

This is an incredible example of antique jewelry and early photography.

There are no hallmarks on the gold. Testing solution was used to determine value. The gold tested strong at 22K.

There may have been a front cover to the pendant, at one time, that held hallmarks. This is just a guess.

The ambrotype still holds a hint of hand tinted blush tone to the cheeks, lips and chin. The subject is very dapper and distinguished.

Measures 2 5/8” from bezel to bottom, 1 5/8” side to side, 1/4” thick.

Total weight 19.04 grams.
