Sol Amor was one of the first and earliest high fashion eyewear brands. It was founded by French designer and optician, George Lissac in 1946. Sol Amor's popularity grew significantly through the 1950s-70s as many celebrities and fashionistas of the era wore their frames. Over 90% of optical shops in France carried the brand throughout the time.
