ORIGINAL Sony OEM Replacement Rubber Driving Belt Part No 4-887-490-01 For a PS-LX520 TONEARM Sony Turntable Record Player Phonograph and other equipment. OEM Number 488749001

***UPDATE***
Good news is one of my buyers of this belt confirmed these belts are still in very fine condition and restored life to his turntable tonearm! That buyer posted his experience and satisfaction in my feedback. Here is what he wrote about the belt he bought:

"I've had a Sony PS-LX520 for years. It became erratic, often getting "stuck" before finishing an LP. After not having tried to get through an LP for maybe a year, I was ready to give up when the tone arm stopped moving at all. But I did some research and saw that a rubber belt could be the cause. I removed about 10 screws to take off the bottom cover. The belt was intact but I guessed degraded. So I ordered the new belt, installed it, and watched an LP play 100% and tone arm return! Very happy!"

Here is a brief backstory: These belts have been stored in a consistently heated/cooled indoor living environment for over 25 years after my grandfather closed his home electronics repair shop officially in 1996. I had no equipment to test the belt's performance on an actual Sony PS-LX500 Tonearm. Prior to listing these I opened one of the bags of rubber belts and gave it a stretch test to see if it was dry-rotted and if it had elasticity and would return to original size. It seemed very pliable and I hyperextended it until it broke. In my estimation it passed the test to be like new condition to list as NEW Old Stock. Thanks to the testimony of this buyer, he confirmed what I was very sure of at the time of listing - these belts, even though they are 25+ years old are in a good state of preservation and STILL good to use for repair. To be honest, will they last as long as they would if they were just manufactured? Probably not.
