K-6

Oppenheimer Pink Cosplay Button

A small 1.25" pinback button saying, in bold pink letters, K-6 (with a thin pink line around the edge). People working on the Manhattan Project during World War II had to wear buttons to indicate their security status – this is a warm-hued scaled-down tribute to a cinematic representation of this sort of button.

When on base in Los Alamos, the New Mexico town selected for the Manhattan Project, personnel wore round badges with combinations of letters and numbers. These refer to the identification numbers they were assigned upon arriving at Los Alamos.

This version of the button has pink text in tribute to other, pink-themed cinematic experiences that may be being viewed in a double bill with the Oppenheimer film.

Perfect for matching mother-daughter outfits!  Or father-daughter!  Or parent-child of ANY gender!  Add this button to your female nuclear scientist cosplay – it’ll be the Bomb! Stick it to your shrimp, or put your shrimp on it! Does not confer discounts to Imax showings of epic biopics directed by Christopher Nolan.
