This one-piece nut offers an excellent replacement to an original nut.

What difference does that make?

Original nuts are known to swell and brake owing to their two-piece construction.

Over time, water can penetrate the nut causing the cap to swell or come off.

If the cap swells, it can make it difficult to remove the nut as it will no longer fit the usual hex socket.
