Pisces UV bulbs are purposely made for UV-C Filter & Clarifier systems for both Ponds and Aquariums. Germicidal lamps require effective UV bulbs; a new UV bulb working at full strength will greatly improve the efficiency of your filtration system.
These bulbs work to clear your pond or aquarium water by removing unsightly green algae. The strong ultraviolet light breaks down the algae in the water as it passes by the UVC lamp.
For optimum UVC effectiveness, bulbs should be changed every 6-12 months.
Please make sure that you are purchasing the correct 2 pin UV Bulb by checking your filters instructions for the desired bulb wattage and length.
Important Note: Germicidal Lamps emit UV-C radiation at 253.7nm that is dangerous to the human eye. These lamps should NOT be used for general illumination.
