This is the Holy Grail of early USA made graphite ultralite fishing rods. This is a single piece 4 1/2 foot Fenwick “Green” carbon graphite HMG G145 Fenwick fishing rod. These were the first carbon series rods built in the early 70s (first series before the brown carbon rods). It has serial number L 209868 and is in near mint to mint condition. Lightweight early style wire guides. It took me 10 years to find this rod in this condition. It’s stunning. It comes with its original nylon sock and original black anodized aluminum tube with HMG G145 sticker. These fish like a dream.

Originally designed and built by the famous Jimmy and Don Green of Fenwick (Don founded Sage) . These are very hard to find with their lightweight original wire ferrules. I have had this in my collection for many years but am selling off the whole collection and have many first edition graphite carbon rods, even prototypes that I’m going to sell.
