Now up for sale at Monument Square Antiques is a Vintage c. 1900 Nanbu Tetsubin Japanese Cast Iron Hobnail Tea Kettle in Excellent USED Condition (B+ to A- Condition) With no cracks or broken parts - there is some rust inside and outside of the pot - the outside will display nicely.  The black hobnail cast iron "squatty" teapot measures 6 inches high and 7 inches in diameter.  The marks are under the spout - The upper vertical two characters reads top-to-bottom "南部" gf1 (Nan Bu, means "Southern Part"), which is a Japanese cast iron brand Nanbu Tekki.
Bottom two is "山绿"(Mountain Green), but should be read right-to-left since it's a traditional seal, as "绿山" - "Green Mountain" (read as "Midori Yama" in Japanese).  This piece will be a lovely addition to your collection!  Don't miss out!
