Up for sale is a wonderful antique 17th century hand carved wooden Jesus Christ head sculpture.
It's beautifully polychromed with a rich colored finish and features inset glass eyes.
It is a lovely depiction and is a fragment of what was most likely once a full sculpture.
The head is mounted to an antique, but more modern, wooden base.
It is in nice antique condition and the head alone without the base measures 5 1/2 inches tall by 4 inches wide.
There is some paint loss and it is missing a half of one glass eye.
