This is a Couturier Dress Suit in a copper silk brocade. Circa 1962.

Perfect Mad Men Style. The dress is a classic shell cut with a built up neckline that has a slight cowl when worn.

The lightweight coat is very classic, with a clean silhouette and beautifully shaped lapel. It’s double breasted and has all it’s original self covered buttons.

The gorgeous brocade fabric feels like a blend of silk and rayon. The coat is lined in heavy peach rayon faille, and the dress is lined in a smooth plain weave cream fabric - rayon or possibly acetate

The Label says
“Custom Made by Marie’s- 172 Maplewood Avenue, Maplewood. NJ.”

My estimate is that this will fit a modern size 6 to 8. It’s in completely wearable condition, though before wear buttons could use tightening.  Suit has been well stored most of it’s life.  A visit to a good dry cleaner should be all that’s needed.

Measurements were taken flat - then doubled - suit is Photographed on a modern size 4 dress form (34/26/36) I am going to estimate the size of the suit as a modern 6 or  8
