These are the famous Red Wing Blacksmith boots in Briar Oil Slick leather with classic nitrile cork soles and cork insoles.  The Blacksmith boot is the non-cap-toe version of the Red Wing Iron Rangers and has a more refined look, allowing them to be dressed up a tad more than the Rangers. The Briar Oil Slick leather might be the classiest of their leathers across all of Red Wing's heritage boot lines as people love the various colors that reflect with wear and age. I have always loved the nitrile cork sole as they have great all-weather traction (excluding ice) but do not track dirt and mud the way grooved soles do. Plus they are extremely long-wearing and comfortable. The cork insoles will conform to your foot with each additional wear, another nice feature of the Red Wing Heritage line.

For those of you aware of CJ Cook -- actor and Red Wing aficianado -- he refers to this as his favorite of all the boots, due to the Briar leather, the nitrile cork soles, and the fact that, unlike Iron Rangers and most other Blacksmith models, this version features a leather-lined toe-box rather than the canvas-lined versions in other Blacksmiths (including the 3340 which is a canvas toe-box lined Blacksmith with Briar leather). 

This pair of boots is in very good condition. However, because they are broken in, there are a few nicks here and there along with some sole wear. I think they are all shown in the pictures - there are no major problems of which I am aware. The last photo shows the predominance of nicks and scuffs - all in the toe area. 

Regarding sizing, I wear 8.5 in Red Wing Iron Rangers and 875 Moc Toes and 9 in most Allen Edmonds shoes. The typical recommendation is to size down 1/2 to a full size for these boots compared to your normal shoe size so these are a tad small for me.
