All original in very good order as far as we can tell.

No missing or replaced veneer just a slight bruise mark at the top left edge which is nothing.

The tray is original to the box and in good order. The bottom of the tray still has its original blue paper lining in good order. The tray has its original velvet material with no lift out tabs and in good order for its great age.  It also retains its original fixed silk board in pretty good order with minor wear and marks. The inside bottom of the box has been relined by us in good quality new velvet. Inlaid with the original solid brass central cartouche and also has a mother of pearl keyhole escutcheon.

A really superb early box in great restored order. The internal tray is original to the box. All the tools look original in pretty good order and complete as far as we can tell. It is always difficult to tell with these sets but looks complete to me. Also comes with two additional items again we think original to the box. Beneath the box has been lined in the same red velvet as of the inside material to stop any scratches to other surfaces.

Comes complete with a silk tassel and Victorian key that FULLY LOCKS the box. The lid opens fully to reveal a wonderful interior. Beneath the box has been lined in velvet to stop any scratched to other surfaces.

A superb box, and would make a fantastic gift.

We believe at MTS that the Antique boxes we sell are as important as the item of jewellery our customers buy.

We take pride in all our restorations, which are unique and fit in well with today’s taste and style. What better way to store your valuables than within a unique piece of Victorian or Georgian history. As an investment for the future, our boxes will never loose their appeal or charm, and should with care last all our lifetimes and beyond.

Please bear in mind that we try to give a reasonable account of restoration that's taken place, and try to highlight major points. The majority of our boxes are over one hundred years old. They are not new and may have antique marks, tiny missing pieces slight misalignment or shrinkage imperfections, and will have shown signs of fatigue. Its all normal for the age of any historic box. We try to restore to a good order but can not list every single mark. If you are unsure in any way before purchase please contact us for more information. we are only to pleased to offer help.

We take a lot of pride and care in what we do, and have been dealers and restorers for over thirty years.
