Shaft details
If a trigger movement is selected, it will be one with a Chinese type shaft. Matching hands for it are shown below if needed.

Chinese type shaft / spindle
This movement is for 'push-on' hands where the shaft is defined as follows;

hour hand shaft diameter: 5.0mm
minute hand shaft diameter: 3.1mm
mounting thread diameter: 7.5mm (standard thread)

A choice in shaft length as follows;
The movements in this listing are offered according to their shaft length.
The shaft length is the overall length of the mounting screw thread and the spindles for the hands.
The shaft length is important when the hands are behind a glass front of a clock, to ensure contact is avoided.
Sufficient thread length is crucial for mounting the movement, which depends on dial thickness. The minimum length needed is the dial thickness plus 2-3mm for the fixings. Choose the one which has at least enough thread to attach to your dial at its fixing point allowing an extra 2-3mm for the fixings.

	8mm: No thread For snap-in, push-fit, sticky pad, no fixing thread applications. A Pendulum type isn't available.
	12mm: Thread length 4.5mm Suitable for clock dial thicknesses up to 3mm (or 2mm if used in a pendulum unit).
	14mm: Thread length 6mm Suitable for clock dial thicknesses up to 4mm (or 3mm if used for a pendulum type of movement).
	17mm: Thread length 9mm Suitable for clock dial thicknesses up to 7mm (or 6mm if used as a pendulum type of movement).
	20mm: Thread length 12mm Suitable for clock dial thicknesses up to 10mm (or 9mm if used for a pendulum type of movement).
	24mm: Thread length 16mm Suitable for clock dial thicknesses up to 14mm (or 13mm if used for a pendulum type of movement).
	28mm: Thread length 19mm Suitable for clock dial thicknesses up to 18mm (using the round nut, or 17mm if used for a pendulum type of movement).

Please note: The shaft length is reduced by 1mm when placed within a pendulum unit. For example, the 14mm movement is reduced to 13mm shaft length - see more details below
The pendulum is powered by a separate AA battery (not included)

Fixing nut type
Mounting thread diameter: 7.5mm (standard thread).
We offer a choice in the type of fixing nut. The price is the same. Let us know with a 'buyer's note' during checkout if you'd prefer the round one.


Hex nut and washer includes rubber washer, flat metal washer and brass fixing nut. The rubber washer is intended to sit behind the clock dial. The brass washer and nut are fitted at the front of the dial.	Slotted round nut includes rubber washer with round brass fixing nut. The round nut doesn't need the metal washer and gives a smarter finish. It uses 1mm less of the threaded shaft so can be used for thicker dials. It needs a dial hole diameter of 10mm.

Hanger

A metal hanger is available (for the standard movement option) which is placed between the movement and its dial.
