Ms. Kaspar is a well known Quilt artist, she has done other architectural quilts. Below is a review from an exhibition that featured one of her "Cathedral" quilts.
Provocative Quilts Stand Out in a Dignified Show
The quilts are truly provocative. Leah Kaspar's
"Cathedral" has the lyricism of a stained-glass window at Chartres.
The underlying architectural structure is there, but instead of leaded lines
and Gothic glass in vivid hues of scarlet or blue, this Burlington artist has
stitched together bits of cloth that were printed with violet and mossy green
patterns. Somehow this translation from one medium to another is successful.
Her hues present the quiet luminosity of a church window on a misty day.
Will be packed well with tracking.
