Native Am.  Vintage Navajo Sterling & Turquoise Stick Pin

Vintage and previously owned, but in very good condition overall.  Minor signs of wear, but nothing that detracts from its functional use as a decorative pin. If this item ever had any marks (maker or purity), they have been worn down so much through years of use to make them illegible now, which is why I believe it is vintage in age.  My identification of this item to be made by a Native American, and more specifically Navajo, is based on the look and construction of the item as compared to other examples I could find referenced online.  However, I am not an expert in this field and may be wrong.  If anyone has other information that would aid in the attribution of this item, I welcome their input and will correct any errors that were made.

This beautiful pin highlights a turquoise cabochon approximately 1/2" Long by 1/4" Wide, which is hand-set at about a 45 degree angle in a sterling silver casing, surrounded by decorative sterling silver open scroll work.  The setting of the stone appears well-done and strongly holds the stone in its intended place.  The turquoise stone is a mostly solid colored stone, with some sliver colored veining towards the top of the stone.  All-in-all, this is a beautiful piece which was well-made by a gifted silversmith who I believe was/is Native American - Navajo.
