RARE VIEWS SCENE. MINTONS. 8 INCH C 1895..

We have the less common 8" views scene from Mintons of Conwy Castle on the Conwy estuary here in beatifull North Wales.

Normally seen on the 6 inch.

I am fortunate enough to have this view from my window minus the boat.

This medieval fortress is around 700 years old built around 1283 and has a 1400 yard ring of wall around the town of Conwy.

THE  BACKGROUND COLOUR IS MORE CREAMIER THAN IN THE PHOTOS.

It's a brown print on a cream background it's framed with a bead border pattern and plain bands within.

It's in very good condition with just one tiny nibble on the top edge and two minute ones on the right edge.

There are two under glaze marks near the top right corner.

It's finished with a brilliance glaze.

A piece of history on a tile engraved by British craftsmanship in days gone by.

Embossed on the back is Mintons, China Works.

Stoke on Trent.
