This is a nice original tabletop Fairbanks grain sample scale. The purpose of this scale was to determine moisture content of grain.  It is from a farm estate in NW Wisconsin. The scale was found in an upstairs closet and has not been used for several decades. As seen photos this scale appears to be complete and has no broken parts. The bubble level is adjusted with two legs. It is marked Fairbanks on the cast iron base, one bucket and rail. The exact age of this scale is not known but is thought to be from the earliest part of the 1900s. It is approx. 22" tall X 18 1/2" wide base X 13 1/2" deep (base) and weighs 36 lbs. Parts on this scale show natural aging. This scale disassembles easily and will be partially disassembled, packed and shipped in two boxes to prevent damage. With a little TLC by collector this scale would make a great addition to any collection. Please check photos as they a large part of description. Any questions, please contact me. Thanks for taking a look.
