Primitive, hand-carved, "whittled" old-man-of-the-sea is made of painted wood. Figure is titled, "Bos'n" on the base. Wearing a Captain's hat and coat this white bearded seaman has his hands in the pockets of his brown pants. He smiles slyly.

"Bos'n" is 7" tall. 

Clear, carved signature on the bottom of the base: "TOM HANNAH". Tom Hannah is a Canadian artist, one of three artist brothers who were active in the 1930's into the 1960's.

This Tom Hannah carving is has no damage. There is a natural wood flaw on the front of his shirt. There is some dust from display. No chips or paint loss. Please inspect photos.
