XTOOL Advancer AD20 is a Smart OBD Dongle with integrated diagnostic module and cloud services. It provides various functions like DTC scanning, Components tests, trip recording, driving skills monitoring, etc. and this tool connected via Bluetooth, controlled by application in smartphone. The AD20 is a great tool for all vehicle owners.
AD20 supports all vehicles that use standard OBD-II protocols. If you're not sure please take the protocols and check with seller.

Diagnostic Functions of AD20&AD20 PRO

  • OBD-II Function - Advancer AD20 can read and categorize the fault codes (DTCs) that storage inside the vehicle ECU via standard OBD-II protocols.
  • In-depth Check - This function allows us to do thorough check on vehicle systems like engine, powertrain, brakes, steering, safety, infotainment and so on, which helps owners to know the health condition of the car clearly and provide safe and comfortable driving experience on travels.
    Note: Please note that the In-Depth Check is only supported in AD20 Pro.
  • Live Data - When the car is started, Advancer will provide and demonstrate detailed vehicle status like battery voltage, engine RPM, coolant temperature, engine load, fuel trimming and so on. This will help you to get the real-time working conditions of the car.
  • Maintenance Light Reset - Maintenance light is a reminder set by car manufacturer, which reminds drivers to do maintenances when needed. When the reminder is on, the car will show info on the dashboard screen, or simply shows a light. This function allows you to reset the maintenance counter and turn off the maintenance light after finishing maintenance. For your driving safety, make sure you have followed the manual when doing maintenance to your own car.
  • Components Test - This function allows you to check the health status of the systems and the components of the vehicle. Currently we support to perform tests on batteries, fuel correction control system, emission system and air flow sensors. Also, through some tests we can know the status on the carbon built-up in the throttle.
  • Performance Test - This is a simple 0-100km/h counter for you to intuitively know how is the performance of your vehicle. Find a safe runway, stop your car and stay into idle, and then full on throttle. AD20 will automatically record your 0-100km/h time and the live data of the whole procedure.
    Note: Please make sure that the runway is safe and closed with no pedestrians nearby when you are doing performance tests.
  • Trip Recorder - AD20 can record the trip information each time you take the vehicle out for a drive. It will record the mileage, average fuel consumption, speed, and even record your driving behaviors like heavy brakes and throttle.
  • Driving Habits Monitoring - With the G-sensor inside the Advancer, all sharp turns, hard braking and sudden acceleration will be recorded, analyzed and displayed on the app. If you want to improve your driving skills, this feature can provide you with data level support.
  • Digital Dash/HUD Display - AD20 allows your smartphone to get access to the data flow of the vehicle which also means it can turn your mobile device into a digital dashboard or an HUD display.

Some Questions of the AD20/AD20 PRO When we're using

About Download and Opearting the Application
1. Click “Advancer” app will let the phone automatically connect to the device so you don’t need to find it again in phone settings.
2. Please make sure “Advancer” is allowed to turn on Bluetooth, get location info, and get access to device storage.
3. Make sure that the AD20 is attached firmly to the OBD-II port.
4. Make sure that you are using the app from reliable sources and has already been in latest version.
Note: Sometimes when a vehicle is detected, the information may be incorrect, or information may be missing. If this happens, please correct it manually.

Why the AD20/AD20 PRO cannot communicate with my car?
1. Make sure the engine has been turned on and is in idle;
2. Please check the brand and model that registered inside the Advancer app is correct.
3. If the above two operations are confirmed to be correct, please contact the seller.

Please make sure that the Advancer supports checking current fault codes

  • AD20: OBDII Standard fault codes & Engine in-depth check
  • AD20 PRO: OBDII Standard fault codes & All system in-depth check
