The FT-2 Dynamic Filter is the second auto-wah in the BOSS lineup.

It was renamed from TW-1 Touch Wah (T Wah) and newly named Dynamic Filter.

The model number was also changed from TW series to FT-2. The sound is a bit peculiar, and as the name suggests, it is more like a dynamically moving filter effect pedal than an auto-wah.

The FT-2 itself is a model from the period when BOSS started selling multifunctionality, with four knobs and a mode knob. The biggest feature of the FT-2 is the EXP IN jack, which is a dedicated jack for connecting an expression pedal. In fact, the FT-2 was the first BOSS compact effect pedal that could be connected to an expression pedal.

By connecting an expression pedal to the EXP IN, you can use this pedal like a normal pedal wah.

Conventional auto-wahs such as the TW-1 Touch Wah used a bandpass filter to achieve the auto-wah effect. The FT-2, however, uses a low-pass filter to create an auto-wah that produces a good bass sound.

Thanks to this, it has a thicker and more distinctive sound than its predecessor, the TW-1 T-Wah.
