*RARE BULB SEEDS. DRIMIA MARITIMA SEA SQUILL X 12 SEEDS.

This fascinating bulb from the Mediterranean region produces stunning tall, sinuous spires of white flowers in late Summer/ Autumn when well  established.

These are incredible as a cut flower with a long vase life.

After flowering broad strappy leaves, often with a waxy bluish sheen emerge and develop  into a robust basal rosette.

In midSpring/ early Summer the bulb begins to enter dormancy.

The bulbs grow to an enormous size over time and prefer the majority of the bulb to be exposed above the soil surface.

They make a great container plant provided they are planted in a deep container to accommodate their root system

Growing naturally on poor stony soils  this bulb requires good drainage and a full sun position where they can get a good summer baking.

The plant contains a toxic substance, and was apparently used as a rodenticide until recent times.
