Follow Green Frog’s professional photographer Rich Scheid as we see some of the best footage ever captured on the Feather River Canyon... between Portola and Oroville in Northern California on the tracks of the old Western Pacific.
We’ll take a short visit to the Portola Railroad Museum and then head west through Clio and visit the spectacular trestle, seeing trains high above and from many different viewing angles, including above the tracks, on the longest trestle on the Feather River Route. We’ll then head west to the famous Williams Loop and then to the world famous Keddie Wye trestle, where will see all the great camera angles.
Next we’ll head through the canyon seeing some of the best footage ever shot in the canyon. Nowhere in the Country do you have the railroad right next to a white water river of this magnitude, with trains clinging to the granite ledges with the turbulent rapids of the Feather River below.
We’ll then follow the trains to the west end of the canyon where we’ll see lots of UP trains with wings and American flags on their sides, as well as BNSF trains off of the BNSF highline...
