Quality Standards
D2 Tool Steel is a high-carbon, high-chromium, air-hardening tool steel that is characterized by a relatively high attainable hardness and numerous, large, chromium-rich alloy carbides in the steel. D2 provides an effective combination of wear resistance and toughness. D2 holds an edge very well. When needed, use a Diamond Wet Stone or better to re-sharpen the blade at 20-degrees. When done using the knife, wash it in soap and water, dry completely, coat in gun oil and store away from the sheath. Leather pulls moisture out of the air and can rust the blade if stored improperly.
