Solder Soldering Iron Tips Standard Size Accessories Electrical Parts 900M-T

The copper core of the soldering iron head is made of pure copper material, with an outer layer coated with iron alloy and the outermost layer coated with tin. If welding magnetic materials such as horns, pure copper non magnetic soldering iron heads need to be used. However, pure copper soldering iron heads are not durable and can be purchased according to your own needs.

The inability of soldering iron heads to oxidize tin is a common problem, and even constant temperature soldering irons cannot avoid oxidation at high temperatures. The reason for this is due to usage issues, such as high working temperature of the soldering iron head, and prolonged heating. But the main reason is still the problem of high temperature and long working hours. Solution:

(1) Do not allow the soldering iron tip to come into direct contact with corrosive objects

(2) After using the soldering iron, turn off the power in a timely manner, and then plug it in again without fear of trouble.

(3) Every time you use the soldering iron, it should be promptly tinned for maintenance!

Kind reminder: Some customers, due to their lack of experience in using it, have raised the temperature of the soldering table to a very high level without any tin application, resulting in dry burning and oxidation of the soldering iron head. Here, we would like to remind them that for new heads, it is recommended to use tin protection at around 250-280 degrees Celsius, and then raise it to the operating temperature, so that the head is difficult to oxidize without direct contact with air. If the fine solder does not melt at 250 degrees, please check and calibrate your soldering table temperature or replace it with a better solder wire. If the head is oxidized, please use a sponge combined with solder paste or rosin and fine sandpaper to remove the oxide layer and revive the soldering iron head.

The 900M series lead-free soldering iron head is made of imported oxygen-free copper, which is corrosion-resistant, has high thermal conductivity, and fast heat transfer. It is particularly suitable for lead-free welding, and is suitable for electric soldering irons and soldering stations such as 936, 937, 938, 942, 951, 969, etc. suitable for 900M soldering iron heads.

Name: High grade soldering station soldering iron head lead-free and environmentally friendly 900M series soldering iron head

Model: 900M-T-Single Pack/Bulk Sales

Usage: This product is suitable for 936 welding stations, 937 welding stations or various 900M series special handles.

Instructions for use: When using a brand new soldering iron head, please follow the following steps to greatly extend the service life of the soldering iron head.

  1.  Adjust the temperature setting control to the low temperature position. Turn on the power 'switch'.
  2. After heating to 200 ℃, add solder wire containing flux to the tin surface of the soldering iron tip.
  3. After continuously heating at 200 ℃ for five minutes, turn the temperature setting control button to the appropriate usage temperature position.
  4. After reaching the appropriate temperature, it can be used.

Attention: When using a brand new soldering iron head at any time, it is best to remove the soldering iron head and clean the internal foreign objects every day!

How to choose a model that suits you?

Type I

Features: The tip of the soldering iron is thin and delicate.

Application scope: Suitable for fine soldering or situations with limited soldering space, and can also correct tin bridges generated during chip soldering.

B-type/LB type (conical)

Features: The B-type soldering iron head has no directionality, and the entire front end of the soldering iron head can be welded.

Application range: Suitable for general welding, regardless of the size of the solder joint, B-type soldering iron head can also be used.

The LB type is a type of B type, with a slender shape. Flexibility in welding environments with high body components or narrow welding space around the solder joint Operation.

D-type/LD type (straight batch nozzle shape)

Features:

Weld with the nozzle section.

Application range: Suitable for welding environments that require a high amount of tin, such as large welding areas, thick terminals, and large solder pads.

C-type/CF type (oblique cut cylindrical)

Features:

Welding with a soldering iron tip on the front inclined surface is suitable for welding that requires a high amount of tin. The CF type soldering iron head only has a tin coating on the inclined part, and only the inclined part can be coated with tin during welding. Therefore, the amount of tin coating will be different from that of the C type soldering iron head, depending on the welding needs.

Application scope:

The application range of C-type soldering iron head is similar to that of D-type soldering iron head, such as large welding area, thick terminals, and large welding pads.

0.5C, 1C/CF, 1.5CF and other soldering iron tips are very fine, suitable for welding small components or correcting tin bridges, pillars, etc. generated during surface welding. If welding only requires a small amount of solder, it is more suitable to use a CF type soldering iron head with tin plating only on the inclined surface.

2C/2CF, 3C/3CF soldering iron head, suitable for welding components such as resistors and diodes. SOP and QFP with larger tooth pitch can also be used.

4C/4CF, suitable for grounding on thick terminals and circuit boards. Welding applications that require high heat such as power supply.

K-type

Features:

Using a knife shaped part for welding, either vertical or pull welding, it belongs to a multi-purpose soldering iron head.

Application scope: Suitable for soldering SOJ, PLCC, SOP, QFP, power supply, grounding components, correction tin bridges, connectors, etc.

H-type

Features:

The tin coating is located at the bottom of the soldering iron head.

Application scope: Suitable for SOP and QFP with large tooth pitch in pull welding.

Selection of soldering iron tips

1. Size

i) Size of solder joint: Choosing the appropriate soldering iron head based on the size of the solder joint can make the work smoother. The soldering iron head is too small and the temperature is not enough.

If it is too large, there will be a large amount of solder melting, making it difficult to control the amount of tin.

ii) Solder density: Soldering on densely packed circuit boards can reduce the chance of tin bridge formation by using a thinner soldering iron tip.

2. Shape

i) Types of soldering components: Different types of electronic components, such as resistors, capacitors, SOJ chips, SOP chips, require different

The combination of soldering iron heads to improve work efficiency.

ii) Ease of contact of solder joints: If the solder joint position is surrounded by some higher electronic components and difficult to contact, a larger shape can be used

Long and young soldering iron heads.

iii) Tin requirement: If a large amount of tin is required, a soldering iron head with a larger surface area of the tin coating can be used.
