Leonidas
The Leonidas Watch Factory was founded 1841 by
Julien Bourquin in Saint-Imier. 1912 Leonidas is
purchased by Constant Jeanneret-Droz, one of the three sons of the
1964 the companies Leonidas Watch Factory and Ed.
Heuer merge. For a long time the watches are sold under the name 'HEUER
LEONIDAS'. After Heuer became TAG Heuer, the name Leonidas
disappeared.

This watch has a new stainless steel case .
The wonderful new stainless steel case has been made
by hand especially for this perfect mechanism.
This mechanical watch is in
very good working order and well-placed. Every part is checked by the
watchmaker
Mechanism has been recently serviced to ensure
it winds and sets smoothly while keeping great, accurate time.
The original mechanism Valjoux cal.22 is powered by a manual
winding/setting crown and has 17 jewels .
Overall, this great looking
piece has been professionally serviced and is now in great condition.
CASE
The wonderful new stainless steel case has been made
especially for this perfect mechanism.
The timepiece consist of a turning bezel with index
pointer for determining duration of flight

Before starting the chronograph, make sure that
the watch is properly wound.
The pusher
at two o’clock activates and stops the chronographic measurement, while
the second pusher at four is used
to reset the measurement when the chrono is stopped.

Recommendations for the
owner of antique watches:
1. All Antique watches are
mechanical.
2. Antique watches are
generally NOT waterproof. This is because waterproofing was not in general
production until the middle of the 20th century for most watches. Therefore you
should protect your antique watch from exposure to moisture.
3. If your watch becomes wet
it should be dried off quickly. Carefully open all covers and use a hair drier
to blow dry the movement, dial, covers, crown. This will reduce the amount of
rust.
4. When adjusting the hands of
your watch, move them in a clockwise direction only. Counter-clockwise
adjustments may damage the movement.
5. If you must adjust
counter-clockwise make it for small adjustments only (i.e. for minutes, NOT
hours).
6. Every 2-3 years it is
necessary to service and oil vintage watches.
7. To clean the case, dial and
crystal you should use a cloth that does NOT leave fibers as these may get
caught up in the movement. Check with your Watch repair expert to get an
appropriate cloth.
8. Keep your antiques watch
away from magnets. Strong magnetic fields may affect the accuracy of your watch
since some vintage watches were made with iron based components in the
movement.
9. Most Cases and Covers are
fine components and will not handle abuse well. The watch should not be shaken,
beaten, or stressed.
10. Antique watches generally
experience an error of up to 5-7 minutes a day. Any accuracy of +- 5 minutes is
very good.

Vintage watches are very
delicate and I package to the highest degree to prevent damage.
High altitude flights can be hard on watches
due to extreme temperature changes. This can cause the oil viscosity to
decrease (gum up) and prevent a watch from ticking (the balance moving freely
etc.). It may need to be oiled when it arrives regardless of its recent
servicing (if applicable). Although this is only a very slight possibility it
can occasionally happen.
Please bear in mind that you are buying a used
watches and it will require service at some point in time.

Due to the current situation, parcels can take a very

International shipments will sent via
Economy Shipping
with tracking number (10 to 23 business days, depending on the buyer's
location) - $25
EMS - approx.
$60.00 (depending on the buyer's location).
For
Items will be shipped to confirmed address on eBay. Please check with eBay if
your address is confirmed.
We pack all items well but some antique watches are just not made to travel
at today's speed and may need set up and possibly adjustment after shipping and
because of that I'm sorry but can not guarantee function or accuracy after
shipping.
Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or
shipping charges. Prior to bidding, check your country's customs regulations to
determine any additional costs.
For all shipments the value of the item will be declared lower than the
auction price for custom duties. Also I will mark item as "gift". The
taxes should be minimal.
Insurance:
1. I am not responsible for the World’s Postal
Systems!
2. If the item was insured and did not come (or
broken) then all your money will be refunded!
3. If the item are not insured, then the refund
only for loss after 60 days from date of shipment! This time needed for the
finishing of the post service investigation process. No other reason for
returning except the loss is considered!
Return Policy

my address within 15 days after you received it. After 15 days I will no longer
be responsible and the item won't be taken back!
