Due to the increase in volume of packages being shipped through
the US Postal System, shipping times have occasionally been longer than those
estimated by either eBay or the USPS tracking tool.

This Kosta Boda Art Glass EGGPLANT or AUBERGINE (model #98914),
was designed and signed by glass artist Gunnel Sahlin
as part of the FRUTTERIA series, introduced in 1989.

Speckled deep purple body with speckled pale green stem.
The body has a definite texture ... not rough exactly, but not smooth.
Photos #11 and #12 are an attempt to show this texture.
Marked on purple end:
Kosta Boda
????? (unable to decipher)
G. Sahlin
98914
The markings are shown in close-up in photos #9 and #10.

MEASUREMENTS
 nearly 9" (22.7cm) long
about 3" (7.7cm) thick/diameter

No damages noted.  That being said, there are some imperfections that
are not unusual to find in hand-made art glass ... some small dark or light
spots or discolorations due to impurities in the glass mixture or
bubbles near/on the surface.
There is a dark small streak in the stem - shown in photo #15.
This has a surface texture and some areas are bumpier or more textured
than the surrounding area or a few areas have no bumps as if
the glass surface was touched with something before it cooled off.
One of these spots is shown in photo #16.
The purple Glass applied to the large end of the eggplant has
some openings at the side that almost look as if there were bubbles
underneath there that escaped at that spot.
These openings/gaps are shown in photos #17, 18, and #19.
There is a shallow flake partially underneath this same purple applied
end that had to have occurred during its creation ... I'm guessing
that it happened when it was removed from the blow-pipe and that
the applied purple end normally covers the pontil scar completely,
but left some of it exposed on this piece.
This is shown in photos #20 and #21 (with arrows), and in an extreme
close-up in photo #22.
