MATERIAL: Extremely rare natural DANBURITE (pale to light pink color is seen only in larger gems over 10ct. Smaller stones look colorless to an untrained eye). This gem shows extreme brilliancy and fire, due to its high refractive index and perfect mirror polish. Clean facet grade Pink Danburite comes from world’s single source, the La Aurora mine in Mexico.
ORIGIN: La Aurora Mine, Charkas, San Luis Potosi, MEXICO. World’s only source of the highest gem grade Pink Danburite. The La Aurora mine is a huge zinc ore mine and pockets of Danburite crystals are found very rarely. Mine workers are prohibited to take Danburite out of the mine so each crystal is smuggled out.
