World War 1 Repro Poster

This poster, produced in 1917, depicts a father and his children, and used gentle manipulation to promote the purchase of War Savings Certificates.

These were introduced in 1916 to help the British government fund the war effort. By the end of the war over £200 million of them had been bought by the public.
