World War 1 Repro Poster

Women of Britain say -

Go!
by E. J. Kealey

During the First World War the majority of British army recruiting posters were conceived not by government officials but by printing companies. Adept at commercial advertising they applied the same techniques to army recruitment.

In this poster, published in March 1915, British women are urged to pressure their men-folk into enlistment. In this, the poster reflects the increasingly pernicious tone of later British recruiting publicity.

A powerful picture framed in an A4 (29.7 x 21 cm, 11.7 x 8.3 inch) size frame.
