CHALCOPYRITE: Near Daye, Huangshi, Hubei, China. Dimensions: 5.0 x 3.4 x 2.5cm, miniature. This handsome, scintillating, metallic, blue-purple specimen of Chalcopyrite balls has fantastic great composition! It is composed of a very aesthetically arranged grouping of nine glistening, almost blueberry-like spheres that range in size from 1 to 1.7cm in a very open and aerial presentation that displays wonderfully in any orientation, but best vertically as shown! There is a slight color variation between the spheres from a shimmering rich blue to a more matte lustered darker blue, especially the smaller ones near the top of the piece. There are a few contacts on some of the spheres that represent where they were connected to other Chalcopyrite balls. This is an attractive piece of this rarely available material. These came out in a few large pockets in 2018 and 2019 and absolutely none found since. Buyer pays USPS Priority Mail shipping with signature required.
