This is a 6-volt ALLSTATE car / truck battery non-working display item used by the Sear and Roebuck in Urbana Illinois in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It came from an estate of a man that worked for Sears in that era. As can be seen in photos this advertising item has been well cared for its 70 plus years of existence. This item is an actual battery case from the era with the plates and acid not installed. It measures 10 1/2" wide X 9" to top of battery post X 7 1/4" deep and weighs 15 lb. 14 oz. The graphics are in very good condition, has original caps and no breaks or cracks in case. Last photo shows some plastic missing where cap screws on, all three caps screw in and tighten. An advertising piece of this kind are pretty hard to find in any condition. This battery displays great. Please check photos as they are a large part of description. Any questions, please contact me. Thanks for taking a look.
