Antique Meissen Porcelain Hand Painted Flowers Trumpet Vase circa 1814-1920.
6.5 inches high x 5.5 inches top diameter, c. 1814-1920.
Trumpet shape with horizontal rib above round foot. Best quality decoration with fine floral bouquets hand painted in color enamels on both sides and generous wide gilt bands around mouth and foot.
Blue under-glaze curved crossed swords with pommels mark used from 1814 to 1924. See Rontgen marks #1553-#1562. Marks before 1814 either have no pommels and/or have accompanying star, dot, letter M, or other characters, or are straight line blades of characteristically different shape. Marks from 1924 to 1934 have a dot between the upper part of the swords. Marks from 1920-1924 and after 1934 have no pommels.
Fine clean condition. No chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs.
